David & Sussan Dibbell
This trip was not on a landing purpose as we were using barbless hooks and some surface poppers. Casting range average was about 60 ft for both anglers. We really enjoyed Dibbell's company. The report goes like this.First day fished half day and jumped 7 landing none
Second Day jumped 5 and boated only two 2. Wind started to pick up early in the morning
Third Day, the windiest, under a coldfront threat, onle jumped 3 without any landings
Fouth Day we decided to split the day in two to fish early morning and sunset. We made 5 fish bite landing none, and at sunset, we jumped three more with same results landing fish
The last day of Dibbells was one of those days everyone wants once in a while..... hooked 31 fish and only boated 6.... Totals 54 baby tarpon Jumped, 8 tarpon brought boatside. JAN 4TH THRU 9TH. 2009. Written By Raul Castaneda, Tarpon Town Anglers
