One of the best trips we ever took in Mexico

One of the best trips we ever took in Mexico was to Campeche, to fish with you and to see your charming colonial town. I can still hear your guide's words to me as I was changing flies: "La cucaracha es la mejor, senor". The moment I put one on, "wham,"  we had a hit!  It made my brother & I laugh as we used to dance the "cucaracha" in Lima when we were kids!

 I subsequently did a painting of hooking a tarpon on "el bajo" at Campeche. See my website gallery, and the "panga" boat. The painting is the top LH one in the gallery. I have called it "Backcountry Tarpon" for the American market.
