FLYFISHING:

Flies: Classic tarpon flies, seaducers, minnows, cockroaches, gurglers in assorment of colors. Black death, purple death, black/white, white/red, most of them with flashabou. Hooks 1/0 and 2/0, no longer than 2.5 inches.

Line: Floating line WF and a intermediate for deeper water, 100 yds backing at least, 6 to 9 ft leader of 20 pounds with 1 ft of 40 pounds test as shock tippet.

Rod/Line: 8-9 Wt. moderate/fast or fast action.

SPINNING:

 Reel:  Line test up to 12 lbs 

Rod:  Medium to heavy action, wire or mono leader of 40 lb test.

Lures: 1/8 thru 1/4 Oz Offshore Angler or Spro Bucktail Jigs, lead heads with soft tailed worms/grubs in patterns white, white/red, orange/red, chartroise/white, sparkles.

Clothing for tropical weather is mandatory. Sun protection and rain jacket are two things to bring abroad.
